To fulfill our mission to understand and enhance the experiences, engagement, and development of abroad and international students and to align with the Wake Forest University vision by contributing to the crossroads of discussion on international issues through emphasizing discovery and student engagement, attracting a diverse community of collaborators, and linking intellectual curiosity with a commitment to service, we aspire to:

  • Serve as a nexus for research and practice on abroad and international student engagement
  • Extend lines of inquiry into critical questions and challenges of the field
  • Develop and enhance existing programs and interventions to support abroad and international student engagement
  • Build a repository of datasets for future research on abroad and international student engagement
  • Create professional learning workshops and opportunities to enhance practitioners’ ability to reliably collect, manage, and report on data related to global student mobility
  • Provide expertise on cultural responsiveness for broader research projects
  • Become a destination for faculty, practitioners, and students interested in enhancing abroad and international student engagement
